Micah is a partnership of faith communities and Richmond Public Elementary Schools that mentors, tutors, and volunteers through its vibrant network of more than 100 faith communities in 23 schools so that every child believes, “I can achieve.”

“The Spirit of Equity in Education”

Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 12:00 noon

Join us for warm fellowship, a delicious meal, and lively learning at our winter luncheon as we focus on the topic of equity in education. What is equity? What does it look like when it’s present in our schools (or not)? What can we do, as volunteers in Richmond elementary schools, to work for equity?

Location: Weinstein Jewish Community Center, 5403 Monument Avenue, RVA 23226, Sisisky Family Community Room

When you sign up, please indicate faith community, school where you volunteer, and if you would like to order lunch (Box Lunch of sandwich, chips, cookie or Salad Lunch with crackers and cookie; $10 cash or check made payable to Micah Association).
